Day Visitation

Included in your admission fee, you can tour the exhibits in the main museum and the front exhibit in the collections building as well as several of the historic structures on our museum’s 14-acre site.  Click here for what exhibits and outbuildings we have to offer. Also take a look at Machinery Row for the variety of agricultural implements used in the past.  And Henry’s Farm is fun to see – a farm yard from the past in miniature!

One-On-One With a Historian

For an extra $5 per person fee, you can have a one-on-one, interactive tour on a subject of your choice. Children under 12 Free. Time: 45 minutes.

Oil Camp Life.  Come explore what life was life like in 1935 in the oil camp of Santa Rita.   

Life on a Montana Homestead.   Explore tiny house living at the 1916 Lois Maltby Homestead in her 8 by 20 foot, two-room house. 

The Life Cycle of A Historic Building. Both a building and a person can have many careers and purposes over their life span.  The story of this building and its changing role in Cut Bank is illustrated through exhibits, artifacts found in the building, colorful stories, and architectural scarring.

Point Drive-Inn

On selected summer and fall evenings, the Drive Inn will soon be open to the public for curb service.  A limited menu of ice cream cones, ice cream sundaes, floats, ice cream sodas, and bottled sodas would be offered for purchase. On select days the Point will offer hot dogs and hamburgers for sale.

Experience history up close through an overnight stay in one of our historic structures.  Your adventure begins with a site orientation by staff,  dinner (optional), a one on one experience with a historian about your building and its role in history (1 ½ to 2 hours), your overnight experience, and breakfast the next morning. Check-in is at 5:00 pm (or a pre-arranged time) and check out by 10 am.
